Greg has played a pivotal role in building the most successful Hino dealership group in Canada, with stores having achieved top national rankings under his management. He brings more than 30 years automotive experience to bear on operations, planning and forecasting, with particular emphasis on expense control.

Greg has demonstrated exceptional strengths as a coach and team-builder since joining Hino Central to open the first dealership, in 1996. He now leads teams in Edmonton, Calgary, Langley and Fort McMurray, as well as heading up the development of new locations as we continue to grow the Hino Central brand.

Greg is especially proud of Hino Central’s growing reputation for exceptional service, and is happy to offer customers the security of a trustworthy brand, experienced sales staff and exceptional service technicians.

A member of the team since 1986, Joanne has seen the company grow from a single location in Spruce Grove, Alberta, to a national company with a complete range of products and services. Now, as controller for Hino Central, Joanne is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the company’s Hino locations, and is an important part of the management team.

A native of Australia, Joanne and her family try to return “down under” as often as possible.

He may be new to Hino Central Calgary, but Craig Buchanan is familiar with Hino products and Hino’s corporate culture.

Formerly from South Africa, Buchanan emigrated to Canada in 2001 and spent seven years at Hino’s head offices in Ontario.

“I trained with Cummins many years back in South Africa, but ended up going into warehousing and logistics management for a number of years,” said Craig, who came back to commercial trucks with Hino on his arrival in Canada.

“Director of Hino Operations, Greg Tilley and I knew of one another from back then, and had some discussions at one point about me joining him out here, but the timing wasn’t right. The second time around, the timing was right.”

In the meantime, Craig served a term with Cummins in Calgary as the service manager. His most recent position was as technical service manager of the Western Region for Navistar. Craig joined Hino Central Calgary Dec. 15, 2014, and he’s enjoying the experience.

“I’m quite excited to be here. We have some exciting challenges to build up the team and get the shop running based on the number of units now operating in our area. There’s a big difference in comparison to a couple years ago; we see a lot of product running around Calgary these days, and that’s encouraging.”

Steve Harlow has an extensive background in retail vehicle sales, transitioning to the world of commercial sales with Hino Central in 2013. “The future is bright here in Calgary. The economy is strong. There’s so much commercial activity going on, and we have the best product on the market to meet our customers’ needs,” says Steve.

Steve was born in Calgary, but spent his youth in Saskatoon before returning to the city of his birth. He says his is a, “hockey and lacrosse family through and through.” Steve’s three sons are all into the sports, and he still enjoys playing in a men’s league.

After graduating from the U of C with a degree in Business Administration, Scott was responsible for a large retail territory before moving to vehicle sales in 2011. The move from retail to commercial sales is a great fit, and his enthusiasm for the Hino brand is obvious. “I’m really excited to represent Hino in the area. We have the best product on the market, especially when it comes to cost of ownership,” says Scott. “These trucks make sense to savvy business owners, and that’s the customer that I love to work with.”

When not at the dealership, Scott enjoys time with his young family and tries to find a little time for fly-fishing. “I haven’t found that Shangri-La fishing spot yet, but I’m determined. It’s going to happen this year, for sure!”
